Nakisa Glover is a climate and environmental justice practitioner, tech advocate, cultural consultant, and community engagement expert. She develops culturally grounded strategies across activism, film, music, and podcasts that engage millennials, Gen Z, artists, entertainers, community leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians, and other stakeholders to build more equitable, sustainable, and regenerative communities.

Nakisa has built a local-to-national track record as a community organizer with experience across corporate, community, and service-based roles. She founded Indy Group Services to deliver consulting services to educational institutions, government agencies, and community groups. In addition, her leadership portfolio spans several organizations advancing equity and wellness: she has served as Regional Partnership Coordinator of Girls Who Code, closing gender and diversity gaps in technology, and as Think 100% Organizer for Hip Hop Caucus, amplifying climate and environmental justice solutions. She also serves as a Coach for the Black Women’s Health Imperative, a Fellowship for Liberated Futures participant, and a Founding Member of the North Carolina Black and Green Network. She is also co-founder and former Executive Director of nonprofit Sol Nation.

Her expertise has earned her a platform well beyond Charlotte. Nakisha has been featured in Media Matters, Yes Magazine, HuffPost, Gizmodo, Atmos, and more, and has spoken at the Smithsonian Anacostia, the National Environmental Justice Conference, the DC Environmental Film Festival, and the National Conference on Equitable Development. She is a 2019 Grist 50 Fixer and recipient of both the 2019 Martin Luther King Jr. Growing the Dream Award and the 2016 Clean Air Carolina Airkeeper Award.
