Celine DeCarlo

Environmental, Social, and Governance

Celine began her career at CNN International in London in Advertising Sales and Business Development across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the CIS. After a decade of negotiating multi-million dollar partnerships to increase economic development in these regions, and with an interest in SMEs, Celine shifted her focus to sustainability and social impact, working with entrepreneur and fashion designer, Mara Hoffman. While at MH, Céline restructured the company operationally, built a business strategy that integrated ESG metrics, sat at the helm of internal and external affairs, and led social equity and justice initiatives through community partnerships and advocacy work.

In 2019, Celine became the Head of Business Strategy and Operations at maestra, a social impact and cultural strategy agency. Within year one, Celine built the company’s operations framework, business strategy, and internal structure, and was lead on the firm’s high-profile clients. While the company tripled its revenue in year two, Celine led the effort in securing maestra’s Minority-Owned Business Enterprise certificate.

In 2023, after having acted as an advisor to the conference’s advisory for over a decade, Céline joined the M+D full time where she is currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

Céline sits on the board of several organizations focused on the advancement of the disenfranchised, co-founded coalitions to advance the apparel industry’s sustainable practices, and is the appointed Treasurer and Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Delhi, NY, where she resides.

Celine graduated with a B.A. from Vassar College, is a dual French/American national, and is proficient in conversational French and Spanish, and basic Italian.
